After 5 years (& 24 days) on the Aussie ground, countless hours filling out forms and gathering paperworks, 3 visas… this day has arrived: I am officially (& legally) becoming an Australian Citizen!!! Woohooooo!!!!! :-) What a perfect day, it is Full Moon, it is beyoutifully hot and sunny, tonight at 7.30pm, I will be making the following Pledge of Commitment…
From this time forward
I pledge my loyalty to Australia and its people,
whose democratic beliefs I share,
whose rights and liberties I respect, and
whose laws I will uphold and obey.
Now WATCH OUT when you next take your car, you may start seeing more and more of these… ;-)
