This is not meant to become a weekly feature, but again this weekend, there is so much on! Here are my top picks to let go of your busy week, wind down and reconnect with your Self…

If you do only one thing
Go to yoga! In addition to my late morning class on Sunday, I am covering the 7.30am class tomorrow at Goodlife Armadale (1216 High St). You think it is too early for a Saturday? Don’t even question it, do it and rise with the sun!!! Alternatively, come on Sunday… or both! ;-) Both classes are Hatha Yoga, 60 minute duration and open to all levels of experience. If you are not a club member, drop-in or multi-class pass are available.

White Night Melbourne
“From dusk til dawn White Night Melbourne will transform the city into an all-night wonderland with over 80 FREE events celebrating music, food, film, art and light.” The one event that caught my attention is World Without Sun by Canadian artist Christine Davis, “a visceral experience of sound and light that urges us to consider the radical interdependencies of life on this planet. From the depths of the ocean to vast nebula and intimate brain cells, the work explores the concept that the universe is made up of multiple subjective environments of which the human is but one.” You can check the full program on the website, it is quite vast and diverse; and if you plan to sample it all night long, you may want to prepare yourself and take a nap or, even better, a guided yoga nidra session beforehand! ;-)

Slow Food Farmers’ Market
Like every weekend, there is a farmers’ market around Melbourne and tomorrow it will be held in the magnificent Abbotsford Convent! This beautiful site hosts the market on the 4th Saturday of every month, get there before 1pm to stock up for the week on delicious, nourishing seasonal foods in an atmosphere that promotes conviviality and community.
