Two argentinians artists Marianela Perelli and Pool Paolini have seen their exhibition titled “Barbie, The Plastic Religion” cancelled last year in Buenos Aires. The artists intended to present their take on popular culture with a series of Barbie and Ken dolls modeled after religious icons, including Barbie costumed as the Hindu goddess Kali and Ken as Buddha.
